Haul Post!

I'm excited to say that I have done a good few wish list item cross offs today. But before I start, can I just take a moment to rave about cocktailcosmetics.co.uk. I made an order Tuesday (18/02/2014) afternoon, spending over £50 to reach the free delivery (of course. I'm a sucker for those) and my items came the next day! but I wasn't in :'( so off I skipped to the post office collection point today (20th) and picked up my perfectly packaged delivery. Thank you cocktail cosmetics!

In my perfect little package, was two sigma brushes (of which I felt my premium set was missing) and two lime crime products. The first is an opaque lipstick in the shade 'countessa fluorescent'. The most beautiful packaging I've ever seen. Shiny purple with a holographic silver unicorn. I couldn't bare the idea of swatching it and making it imperfect, but of course I did! ...eventually. and also it smells so yummmmm, like cupcakes!

Next item crossed of the wish list thanks to cocktail cosmetics is the velvettene liquid to matte lipstain by lime crime. I bought the colour 'suedeberry'. Now I'm not overly sure if the colour suits me and perhaps I should have gone for the pink or red version, but that does not mean I don't love the product. So far I'm loving the unique finish and the vivid colour. its so simple to apply, though maybe a little patchy first coat. Though second coat and it was wonderful. I really feel to give it a good chance, I need to do more then just quickly sample it late at night with no other makeup or hair styling.

The two brushes I ordered are the flat kabuki (f-80) and the pencil brush (e-30). I love sigma and in my eyes they can do no wrong. I cant wait to play around and have fun with them along with my others.

My last two haul items were just picked up locally and are easily found. I bought the light infusing foundation and pure light primer base by L'Oreal Paris. These are both from the lumi magique range. I seem to always have really dry matte looking skin so I'm hoping that I'll get a lighter fresher looking face with both these products. I'll let you know how I get on!

If you feel you can advise me on anything that might help my skin feel less dull and dry looking with make-up then please do comment below. I'd love to hear from you!

So far I'm pretty happy with what I've got :)

Well thanks for reading! hopefully you'll come back again soon
Mwah!

p.s. Sorry for the added dates! I've posted this a few days late from writing it!

First Post!

So my bestie has convinced me that I should write a blog.  At first I thought "well what do I write about? Who will be intrested? Blah blah blah" the truth is I can sit here and convince myself of several reasons why I shouldn't do something but I realise that's self distructive so in order to not get my self in a slump, here I am giving it ago! I'll write about exactly everything and anything I want! If I'm interested someone else should be, right? Right!?

Like most of my female friends (minus one true bestie who i love anyways! :) mwah!) I love hair, make up and nails. So that's a good start

I have an Instagram page where I post my nail art, though its been rejected by me lately. Quite a long 'lately' to be honest "/ I did a course in London on nails where we all had to practice on each others hands and my nails have been a struggle since to become healthy! I promise myself though, that as soon as I can get them to (fiiiiinally) grow half decent I will be bk at doing what I enjoy there. Please go check it out at http://instagram.com/nailsbyemz# :)

Makeup has recently taken over my nail polish love in the meantime. I don't own a lot but there is absolutely loads that I want! On my wish list now is the stila 'in the light' palette and lime crime, lime crime, LIME CRIME! I want it aaaaaaall.

My most recent make up purchase (I use the term 'purchase' extremely lightly as technically i didn't buy it. Thanks babes!) is my sigma premium make up brush kit. I've only owned it a couple days and haven't played around with it nearly us much as I want to right now but I am so in love. The quality is amazing! So worth the £££ and it would have to be for me to ever consider even asking for it as a gift. The only thing it's missing for me is a pencil brush. Another with list item! Anyways You can buy them here
http://www.sigmabeauty.com/Premium_Professional_Kit_p/pk001.htm
This is clearly an American site but the best thing about sigma beauty is that they give you a list of certified sellers all over the world. Let's face it, no one ever wants to accidently purchase fakes, no matter the cost. So its a win for sigma with me :D

I also recently treated my self to macs pro long wear concealer as I've seen so many posts on how amaze it is. And I now can't imagine life without it defo a make up girls neccesity! Full coverage that doesn't crease? What more could you ask for! And it doesn't feel heavy at all like I expected from something that covers so well. I use a damp beauty blender to apply it. I bought mine from Debenham but you can find it directly from mac here http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/shaded/157/10181/index.tmpl

My absolute favorite product at the moment has to urban decays eye primer potion, kindly donated by my friend. love you, thanks, you may never see it again... besides on my eyes. Just sayin'. For some reason I have dry skin but crazy greasy eyelids? Far from attractive! After spending so much on superdrug brand eye primers, one after the other. Always with the same disappointing result. Just literally not even a change.  I was stuck thinking I should have just invested in the first place seeing as I'd spent way more in the long run, but also the possible frustration in investing after my search and possibly it not working. along comes said friend "here you need it more then me clearly, [yes thanks, they're pretty greasy arnt they], use this for a while. See if it works" miracle in a bottle! At only £16 I dont know why I was being such a cheap skate! My eye shadows stay all day. Don't bulge at all! No creasing or fall out and I love the texture

Anywhoooo... before this ends up being just a rambling post I'm gonna leave it there. Hopefully my next post will be a review on a wish list purchase and possibly a nail tutorial! (Please nails grow!)

Thanks for reading!
